Downtown Jeffersonville Visitors Guide and
Business Directory

Historic Downtown Jeffersonville is undergoing an exciting revitalization phase with the recent opening of the Big Four Bridge to pedestrians and cyclists. Spring Street and surrounding areas are filled with visitors and new businesses designed to serve them. With this momentous new development, the downtown Jeffersonville Merchants Association thought it was important to provide people with a visitors guide and business directory to welcome guests and share all that Downtown Jeffersonville has to offer.

Not your average freelance job, this project included developing an order form for business listings and calculating a pricing structure for each listing type. There was no upfront funding for this project so the price of business listings was designed to cover the cost of 15,000 copies. The scope of work also included contacting each business, sometimes door to door, within the covered area to collect information and payment. All copy and illustrations were original creations for this project.

The brochure design pays homage to the historic architecture in downtown Jeffersonville. Detailed storefront illustrations in whimsical colors inspired by the growing public art movement in town offer a modern twist to a charming historic area. The brochure has been revised each year since 2017 to include new businesses in the area.
